Handling of Personal Information

We understand the importance of protecting personal information and have established a policy to ensure its proper protection.
We will follow and implement the basic principles of collecting and using personal information, management methods, and measures like training, education, and auditing as outlined below.

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)

“Personal information” refers to information as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as the 'Personal Information Protection Act'). This includes information about a living individual, such as their name, date of birth, or other details that can identify a specific person, as well as data containing personal identification codes.

Article 2 (Collection and Use of Personal Information)

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes.
If we intend to use personal information beyond the purposes stated below, we will obtain prior consent from the individual using an appropriate method.

  1. To respond to inquiries.
  2. To notify individuals of interview schedules and selection results for recruitment.
  3. To analyze the collected browsing and purchase history data to send emails about new products, services, updates, and campaigns tailored to users' preferences.
  4. To contact users when necessary, such as for service maintenance.
  5. To identify and restrict users who violate our Terms of Use or use our services for fraudulent or improper purposes.
We will only change the purpose of use of personal information when the new purpose is reasonably related to the original purpose.
When the purpose of use of personal information is changed, we will notify users of the updated purpose through methods prescribed by our company and also disclose it on our website.

Article 3 (Management and Protection of Personal Information)

We will strictly manage personal information and, except in the following cases, will not disclose or provide it to third parties without the user's consent. Additionally, we will take safety measures to prevent and address risks such as unauthorized access to personal information, loss, destruction, alteration, or leakage.

  1. When necessary to protect someone’s life, health, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult.
  2. When required to improve public health or promote children's sound growth, and obtaining consent is difficult.
  3. When cooperating with government agencies or their contractors for legal tasks, where obtaining consent could interfere with their work.
  4. When outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the intended purpose, in order to smoothly carry out business operations.
  5. When personal information is transferred as part of a business succession due to a merger or other similar reasons.
  6. When otherwise permitted by law.

Article 4 (Shared Use)

We will not provide or outsource personal data to third parties without prior consent, except in cases described above in (1) to (6), and when it is beyond the scope necessary to achieve the intended purpose.

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When requested by a user under the Personal Information Protection Act, we will disclose, correct, or suspend the use of their personal information after confirming the request is from the individual, within a reasonable period of time. If the requested information does not exist, we will notify the user accordingly. However, if other laws or regulations exempt us from these obligations, we may not comply with the request.

Article 6 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

We will periodically review and improve the content of this policy. Unless otherwise specified by law or separate provisions within this policy, we reserve the right to modify the content of this policy. Any changes to the privacy policy will take effect once they are communicated to users via our designated methods or posted on our website.
